Sunday, September 13th, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Interested in becoming a Tidewater Docent volunteer for the Laguna Ocean Foundation?
Join us for our volunteer orientation and training. This is the initial field training and orientation that is required in order to volunteer at the tidepools. You must also complete one additional in-person field training at the tidepools and an online training course about Marine Protected Areas.
At this orientation, you’ll learn about the MPAs, tidepool species, and the next steps in the process of becoming an LOF volunteer.
We will start the orientation at our office space to go over a powerpoint presentation and answer any questions before heading to the tidepools for your first field training.
The orientation will run from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM at our office and the field training at the Treasure Island and Goff Island tidepools will run from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served during the orientation.
